Papa Noël Frequently Asked Questions
Delivery FAQs
Can you do same day delivery?
While we try to delivery your trees when you want them, we can’t promise same day delivery. We typically try to schedule your deliveries for the next day.
Will my tree still get a fresh cut even though I bought it online?
Yes! Our delivery driver will make a fresh cut on the lot, right before they deliver your tree.
Will you set up my tree in my house, with my stand?
Yes and Yes…for a small additional charge we can upgrade your delivery to include in home set up. An adult has to be there to let us in, and you need to stay until the set up is completed.
How long will I have to wait for my delivered tree?
Our drivers try to be as quick as they can, and they will call you before they leave the lot to give you a ETA.
Will you come get my tree when I don’t want it anymore?
This one is on you. We’re a seasonal business from North Carolina, and we want to be home with our families for Christmas too. Austin does have a great Christmas Tree recycling program, and in most cases they will pick up your tree if you leave it out on the curb on certain days.
Do I need to tip the delivery driver?
That would be a very thoughtful gesture for a hard job well done. Tipping is completely up to you, and should only be considered when our driver has completed an exemplary job.
What size tree can I get delivered?
Anywhere between 4 feet and 12 feet!
Home delivery sounds awesome! How much is it?
It depends on the size of the tree and what level of delivery you choose. Home delivery service starts at $39.99 and goes up from there.
Tree Care FAQs
How do I take care of my REAL Christmas tree?
Treat it like any other house plant. Make sure it has plenty of water in a stand with a large water reservoir and keep it away from direct sunlight and heat.
Isn’t cutting down a tree harmful to the environment?
All Christmas trees in North America are grown on farms, not in the wild. Christmas trees are like many other agriculture crops and are always replanted in the spring.
Isn’t an artificial tree more “eco-friendly”?
No! and No!…Fake Christmas trees are made from non-renewable plastics. The manufacture of petroleum-based plastics use up natural resources. Once used, they are gone forever. Furthermore, the average life span of a fake tree is only 5 or 6 years, then they go to the landfill as garbage.
I’m allergic to real Christmas trees. Isn’t there another option?
Most people who say they are allergic suffer from a Cedar allergy or from dust. We only sell Fir trees, and we mechanically shake every tree on the lot before it leaves to dislodge any dust.
Why shouldn’t I buy from one of the big box stores? Aren’t they cheaper?
Because we sell a premium product that those big box stores can’t. They buy thousands and thousands of trees every year from growers who have to bid to get their business, that results in them getting the lowest quality the growers have to offer. They also have to start cutting down these trees in October! Papa Noël ships fresh cut trees each week, our trees are fuller and have been in the ground longer then anything our competition sells.
Is Papa Noel all over the country?
Nope, we’re only in Austin and San Antonio Texas. We’re just a small family-run business, and we love what we do and where we do it…we couldn’t imagine selling anywhere else. This year will be our 39th year in Texas!
Can you guarantee my tree will last until Christmas?
When a tree is cut from it’s root, it forms a sap seal on the trunk to preserve it’s internal water level. Before you take it home, we’ll recut the trunk to allow the tree to start drinking water again. While we can’t guarantee how each tree will react once it’s in your home, we can guarantee our customer service. We will replace any tree that you are unhappy with, with one of equal or lesser value. A small delivery fee may be charged if we’re bringing you a new one. Bottom line… we want you to be happy at Christmas!
